Netbook Asus Eee PC 1215B

The Asus Eee PC 1215B is the younger brother of Asus 1215T. The new netbook uses the recently released AMD Fusion platform and is powered by the new E350 AMD dual-core processor running at 1.66 GHz and features ATI Radeon HD 6310 graphics card that promises HD video playback.

This Eee PC comes with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM or 4GB of DDR3 RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 6-cell battery. The 1215B has the same chassis as the other 12.1-inch ultraportable Asus. However, unlike the 1201T has a matte surface, which is not easy to pick up points. The palm rest and trackpad have plastic mate. There is a feeling of heaviness in their hands as it is still of 2 kg with battery.

On the left side of the device are the power port, VGA port, HDMI and a USB port. There is also a card reader that accepts SD and-good-as MMC cards. On the right, there are two USB ports, Ethernet port, Kensington lock, headphones and headphone jack.

Comes with a 12.1 inch 1366 x 768 pixel resolution packages. This is the same resolution that was in the 1201n model launched two years ago. The color looks great and it has a glossy finish, the screen is suitable for indoor use. The viewing angles are decent and will not have trouble seeing a movie with your friend sitting next to him. Write to the 1215B was a pleasant experience. It has a Chiclet-style keyboard with 95 per cent full-size keys makes typing comfortable. The only thing I do not like about it is the correct key small change, allowing some time to get used to drinking. Touchpad is large and spacious compared to other 12.1-inch netbooks. All Multi-Touch gestures offered by the netbook worked like a charm. I loved the use of two-finger gesture to scroll through web pages and PDF files.

For expansion, you get two memory slots. To replace the RAM, you have two screws at the rear screws. Make sure your edition of Windows 7 64 bit for all the extra RAM installed recognizes. In terms of performance, is the most powerful netbook I’ve tested. It got almost 2000 points in 3DMark and 0.62 points in the Cinebench benchmark, both specific for a laptop of this size. Asus certainly has a clear winner on its hands.
