Mac and PC prices are pretty much comparable

This is a pure question, not meant to prejudice against a Macintosh or a PC in one way or another show. It is a fact that the Mac is more expensive in general than the PC. Everyone knows that, and many have never bought a Mac because of it. In general then, what is it that makes Macs more expensive?

One reason is labor. Apple brings a much higher ratio than the budget of the operating system, hardware design and aesthetics. Artists and technicians have worked at Apple. True, although engineers have their hands full Windows ensure that the Windows operating system can be transferred to a large number of hardware systems, and Mac is far more efficient and can focus on strengthening, reliability and usability.
